Calling all Purchasing Assistants!
Our client is looking for you to join their team.
- Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs.
- Research potential vendors.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Update internal databases with order details.
- Conduct market research to identify pricing trends.
- Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices.
- Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts.
- Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders.
- Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition.
- Excellent written and oral communication.
- Stung numeracy and analytical skills.
- Maintain client and vendor relationships.
- The ability to work in a pressurised environment, adhering to strict targets and deadlines.
- A flair for negotiation and networking.
- Develop purchasing strategies and budget planning.
- 3rd Level Qualification in Business, Marketing, Sales, Logistics or relevant area.
- 1+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- Good understanding of supply chain procedures
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Knowledge of market research.
- Solid organizational skills.
Hours of Work:
- 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
- Occasional travel may be required.
