POSITION SUMMARY

Production of interactive, online, multimedia, learning materials and ancillary supports (diagrams, documents, video and audio content). This post comprises two distinct workpackages (1) design and development of multimedia content for Biomedical Sciences programme – working with subject experts; (2) production of materials for the ‘All Aboard’ national project on digital skills 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS  REQUIRED

• Knowledge, skills and experience in the production of multimedia materials, including (for example):
  1. Industry-standard tools and packages for the production of interactive, online, multimedia content (eg Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate);
  2. Production of high quality video and audio recorded materials;
  3. Graphic design, animation, and image editing
• Excellent graphical design skills and awareness
• Knowledge, skills and experience in using virtual learning environments/learning management systems (eg Blackboard, Moodle, etc)
• Good interpersonal, management and communication skills
• Ability to work on one’s own initiative and manage a number of issues simultaneously

ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL / I.T. SKILLS  REQUIRED

Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar multimedia authoring tool.  Illustration, graphic design, image editing, video, animation.

Preferably an appropriate graduate or postgraduate qualification in graphics/multimedia production/ or similar

LIST 3 MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES / COMPETENCIES OF THE ROLE

1. Production of multimedia learning materials including video presentations, animations, screen recordings, and interactive components.

1. Working with academic subject matter experts to see opportunities and scope for producing relevant media/multimedia/interaction, based on existing work (eg in case of All Aboard) or aiding new design (Biomedical Science component)

1. Operating under a tight schedule/delivery timeframe to high quality and with attention to detail.
