We are looking for a Maintenance Equipment Technician for our Cleint based in Galway

 

Position Summary:

Set-up, install and maintain and support TIJ equipment to ensure optimum performance and support the achievement of operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and troubleshoot electro/mechanical equipment failures
  • Schedule and perform preventative maintenance procedures
  • Perform equipment installations and moves
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance documentation
  • Record significant downtime issues and resolutions in appropriate databases
  • Interact with other departments as required to co-ordinate equipment repairs
  • Work proactively to ensure performance targets are met; Yield/quality (using SPC/SQC)/production outs/up-time /process stability
  • Communicate potential problems that may affect capacity & quality to the process team Leader as well as across zones/work centres where necessary – attends pass-downs as required
  • Provide detailed inputs into failed spare parts management process
  • Ability to assist and train other Technicians and Operators
  • Support Process Engineer to ensure Continuous Improvements are ongoing
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of breaks and holiday cover
  • Knowledge of, and adherence to, the Galway Safety Statement and all aspects of safe working practices including, but not limited to, PPE, manual handling and chemical handling and awareness.

Typical Experience/Education:

  • 2 years work experience in high volume automated environment
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, Motor drives, pneumatic and hydraulic components
