Forensic Services
The forensic service within the Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network plays a vital role in the assessment, treatment, and management of individuals involved in the criminal justice system with mental health issues. This specialized service focuses on providing comprehensive forensic psychiatric evaluations and interventions to individuals who have come into contact with the law and require mental health support. Their main hiring location is the Forensic Hospital in the coastal area of Malabar.
This facility provides specialist, therapeutic inpatient care for adults and adolescent forensic, correctional and high-risk civil patients. Forensic mental health professionals within this service conduct thorough assessments to determine the mental state, risk factors, and treatment needs of individuals.
