We are partnering with an ambitious and expanding Galway-based SME group seeking an experienced business leader to help shape the next phase of growth.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys both setting direction and getting involved in the day-to-day. Working closely with the Board, you will play a key role in driving performance, developing teams, identifying opportunities, and helping the business scale in a sustainable way.
This role would suit a commercially minded leader who thrives in an SME environment, enjoys variety, and is motivated by the opportunity to make a visible difference.
What you will be responsible for
- Leading and supporting the continued growth of the business.
- Identifying and developing new commercial opportunities.
- Working with teams to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Building strong management capability and fostering a positive, accountable culture.
- Supporting the implementation of systems, processes and technologies that enable growth.
- Using data and insight to inform decision-making and improve performance.
- Collaborating closely with the Board on strategic priorities and business planning.
About you
- Significant experience in a senior operational, commercial, or general management role.
- Experience working within SMEs, owner-managed businesses, or growth-stage organisations.
- A proven ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Commercially aware, with a track record of delivering business growth and operational improvement.
- Comfortable working across multiple areas of a business and adapting to changing priorities.
- Experience leading, developing and mentoring teams.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Practical, proactive and solutions-focused, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves when needed.
