As a Pitman Training Learning Coach, you will supports students throughout their learning journey, from enrolment and induction through to course completion and certification. The role combines student support, administration, progress monitoring, examination support and customer service to help students achieve positive learning outcomes and receive a professional, supportive experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

Student Onboarding & Induction

  • Set up student accounts, course enrolments, modules and programme registrations using the relevant learning systems.
  • Coordinate welcome communications, contracts and onboarding documentation.
  • Deliver student inductions and explain learning platforms, course navigation, resources and study requirements.
  • Ensure students can access their accounts and learning materials and understand where to get support.

Student Progress & Support

  • Act as a key point of contact for students throughout their studies, conducting course starts, answering questions, solving problems, providing encouragement.
  • Monitor student activity, engagement and course expiry dates and follow up where support is needed.
  • Respond to queries about courses, modules, learning pathways and online platforms.
  • Maintain accurate student notes, progress records and support updates.

Scheduling & Administration

  • Schedule study sessions, demonstrations, inductions and examinations.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete routine KPI and administrative reporting.
  • Review relevant payment or debtor information before processing enrolments or additional modules.
  • Manage student support requests and tickets through the relevant systems.

Examinations, Certification & Completion

  • Prepare examination materials and support examination arrangements.
  • Invigilate examinations in line with awarding body requirements and ensure procedures are followed.
  • Support students before, during and after assessments.
  • Process diploma, award and certificate applications and coordinate certificate printing, distribution and collection.

Centre, Reception & Office Support

  • Ensure training rooms, computers and learning resources are organised and ready for use.
  • Maintain a clean, welcoming and professional learning environment.
  • Manage learning materials, workbooks, folders and printed resources.
  • Provide reception cover during busy periods and cover reception breaks as required.
  • Welcome visitors, answer general queries and direct calls or enquiries to the appropriate colleague.
  • Support reasonable office and centre duties to help maintain smooth day-to-day operations.

What We’re Looking For

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Essential

  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Good organisational and administrative skills.
  • Comfortable using computers and online systems.
  • Ability to manage different tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Accurate and reliable when maintaining records.
  • Experience in customer service, administration, education or student support is helpful but not essential.
