Overview:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for preparing and presenting reconciled financial statements while overseeing daily finance operations in line with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Finance team with month-end close, journal entries, and financial forecasts.
- Ensure full reconciliation of the month-end balance sheet within strict deadlines.
- Collaborate with the Shared Service Centre (GBS) on plant account management.
- Prepare statutory financial statements, revenue returns, and external reports.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
- Implement and follow corporate policies, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and business performance.
- Analyse plant performance and track key metrics.
- Support accounting department activities with the Finance team.
Qualifications & Experience:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or Business (Hons) qualification.
- 3+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Ideal for candidates transitioning from practice to industry or professionals in industry seeking a role in a US-listed manufacturing firm.
- Strong financial accounting and costing expertise.
- Experience in internal control implementation/testing.
- Proficiency in accounting software (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Proactive, results-driven, and a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
