What are the benefits of working as a nurse in Australia?

Australia offers a high standard of healthcare, attractive salaries, excellent work-life balance, diverse healthcare settings, and opportunities for career progression. Additionally, Australia's natural beauty, outdoor lifestyle, and welcoming culture make it a desirable place to live and work. Through our partnerships with leading Health Districts across New South Wales, many of the hospitals we hire for offer very attractive relocation packages and sponsored visa options.

How can I secure a sponsored visa to work as a nurse in Australia?

Through our healthcare recruitment services, we connect nurses with reputable Australian Local Health Districts that offer sponsorship opportunities to work in public Hospitals throughout NSW. The two main sponsored visas on offer are the TSS (Subclass visa 482) and PR 186 Direct Entry Visa. We also have opportunities for candidates travelling on a Working Holiday Visa.

What is the process for obtaining a sponsored visa as a nurse?

The process typically involves finding a job offer from one of our many Local Health districts. Once you secure a job offer, and have all you required registrations and documentation, you can apply for a sponsored visa, such as the Employer-Sponsored Visa (subclass 482). Our team will guide you through the visa application process and provide support at every step.

Are there any specific requirements or qualifications needed for a sponsored visa as a nurse?

To be eligible for a sponsored visa as a nurse, you should hold relevant nursing qualifications to allow you to work in Australia (AHPRA registration), have a minimum level of work experience (minimum of 2 years for a sponsored visa), and meet the English language proficiency requirements. Our recruitment specialists can assist you in determining your eligibility and guide you on meeting these requirements.

How long does the sponsored visa process typically take?

The processing time for a sponsored visa can vary depending on factors such as the visa subclass choice, individual circumstances, and current processing times. Our team will provide you with an estimate of the processing time based on your situation and keep you informed throughout the process. The first key step is to get your AHPRA registration.

Will I receive support in finding employment as a nurse in Australia?

Absolutely. Our healthcare recruitment services are designed to connect you with Local Health Districts that suit your goal (Rural vs Metropolitan). We help in preparing your CV, arranging interviews, and guiding you through the job application process to maximize your chances of securing a nursing position.

What other support services do you offer to nurses relocating to Australia?

In addition to job placement assistance, we offer comprehensive support services for nurses relocating to Australia. This may include guidance on licensing and registration processes, accommodation information, advice on healthcare insurance, and ongoing support to ensure a smooth transition until your first day of work.

Furthermore, we offer free information checklists and guides, as well as monthly information sessions that cover topics such as AHPRA registration, Working Holiday Visa Nurse opportunities and Australian Visas Explained. Will I need to complete any additional registrations, certifications or exams to work as a nurse in Australia?

The specific requirements for extra registrations or exams will depend on your visa of choice and citizenship. If the PR 186 is your visa of choice, you will need to do what's called an ANMAC skills assessment. Our team can provide guidance on all necessary steps you will need to do.

Can I bring my family with me to Australia on a sponsored visa?
