Emergency Department at Royal Prince Alfred
RPAH Emergency Department sees approx. 80,000 presentations a year so the need for additional space was required. On the 9th October 2018, RPA Hospital opened 6 new resuscitation beds in 3 additional resuscitation bays in the Emergency Department.
New Resuscitation Bays
The new ‘resus’ space is located in area of the previous ED Short Stay Unit (EDSSU).
The new resus bays are larger, brighter, purpose-built and equipped with the latest technology in resuscitation. The improved space will facilitate multiple teams working together to achieve the best outcomes for the patients.
