4-Month Temporary Contract | Oranmore, Co. Galway
Our client is seeking a Communications Officer to support the delivery of communications, marketing, stakeholder engagement activities, events and campaigns.
Contract Details:
- 4-month temporary contract (September 2026 – December 2026)
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
- Reporting to the Communications Manager
- Based in Oranmore, Co. Galway
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the planning and delivery of events, conferences and public engagement activities
- Assist with communications and marketing campaigns
- Create and edit content for web, media, events and promotional materials
- Coordinate visual content including graphics, photography and video
- Monitor media and social media activity and report on performance
- Provide general administrative support to the Communications team
Requirements:
- Degree in Communications, Marketing, PR, Journalism, Digital Media, Event Management or related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in communications, marketing or events
- Strong content writing and organisational skills
- Experience coordinating events or campaigns
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
- Experience with social media, CMS platforms, Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
- Photography, videography or multimedia skills
- Experience within a public sector, research or environmental organisation
