Contract: Temporary (May – September 2026)
Our client, a busy primary school in Sligo, is seeking a reliable and organised Temporary School Secretary to join their team.
This is a key front-of-office role, providing a welcoming and professional service to staff, students, parents, and visitors
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as the first point of contact for the school
- Managing phone calls, emails, and general enquiries
- Maintaining student records and administrative files
- Supporting the Principal and school staff with day-to-day administration
- Processing correspondence and maintaining filing systems
- Assisting with school systems and databases
- General office duties including photocopying, scanning, and document management
Requirements:
- Previous administration or receptionist experience (education sector desirable but not essential)
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work on own initiative in a busy environment
- High level of discretion and confidentiality
