Role Purpose:
- Lead the development and execution of the new Corporate Training business unit, focusing on growth, operational excellence, and service delivery in Galway and Dublin, with future expansion to Limerick and Mullingar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a 90-day launch plan and ongoing strategy for the Corporate Training business.
- Drive sales and business development, targeting corporate clients and leveraging existing networks (e.g., Skillnets, ETBs, and private sector).
- Build and manage a panel of high-quality tutors, ensuring coverage for leadership, EDI, and other specialist training areas.
- Oversee course content, certification processes (e.g., QQI, ILM), and quality assurance, ensuring compliance and competitive differentiation.
- Coordinate with internal teams (admin, QA, operations) to ensure seamless delivery and client satisfaction.
- Monitor and report on business performance, client feedback, and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with facilities and recruitment teams to support business growth and operational needs.
- Represent the business unit at events, with clients, and internally as the primary point of contact.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in corporate training, business development, or a related field.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to build and lead teams, including external tutors and internal staff.
- Commercial acumen with experience in pricing, forecasting, and managing budgets.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with training certification/accreditation processes (e.g., QQI, ILM) is an advantage.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable with ambiguity and building new business units.
Reporting & Structure:
- Reports to senior leadership
- Works closely with admin, QA, operations, and sales teams.
- May start as a single-person role with potential to expand as the business grows.
Performance Measures:
- Achievement of sales targets and business growth milestones.
- Successful launch and delivery of training programs.
- Client satisfaction and repeat business.
- Development of a sustainable, scalable business unit structure.
