About the Role – Braidwood MPS (Southern NSW LHD)
Position Available: RN – Emergency; Medical/Surgical; Rural Generalist
Small team. Big scope. Work across a modern Multipurpose Service with a welcoming, community vibe between Canberra and the South Coast—ideal for nurses who love variety and autonomy.
- Facility: 37-bed MPS integrating hospital, community health and residential aged care.
- Recent redevelopment: New inpatient rooms built to the latest care models; single-room aged-care beds; multiple activity rooms with shared lounge and dining.
- Clinical services: Acute beds, an Emergency Department with dedicated ambulance entry, and on-site X-ray.
- Location: Southern Tablelands—~1 hour to Goulburn, between Canberra and Batemans Bay, and ~3 hours to Sydney.

Key duties
- Provide front‑door care in a small ED and step into acute mixed medical/surgical care as needed.
- Triage, assessment, escalation and transfer when required; collaborate closely with retrieval/ambulance.
- Support integrated rural care across acute, community and aged‑care streams.
Key Requirement to apply for this role
- 3 years experience required for Perm roles (PR 186 & SID 482)
- Experience working in Irish or UK healthcare systems
- Candidates must be AHPRA registered and have ANMAC (For PR sponsorship) completed with the correct ANZSCO code for the position
- Required Codes: 254414 Registered Nurse (Community Health) / 254412 Registered Nurse (Aged Care)
- Or with Relevant Experience the following codes may be accepted: 254415 Registered Nurse (Critical Care and Emergency) / 254418 RN (Medical) and/or 254424 RN (Surgical). / 254418 Registered Nurse (Medical) / 254417 Registered Nurse (Disability and Rehabilitation)
