We are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of one of our clients, a leading manufacturer in North Mayo. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of setters and operators, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced precision engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily production activities to meet targets, maintain quality & safety standards.
- Requires the management of staff, optimising processes for efficiency, troubleshooting equipment and processes and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Directing production teams to ensure efficient & timely production.
- Improving processes to maximise efficiency, quality & safety.
- Implementing production plans and scheduling personnel to meet strategic goals.
- Identifying & resolving issues with equipment and production processes to minimize downtime.
- Ensure products are provided to customers on time, meeting product quality, yield, operating costs and process efficiencies.
- Facilitate training, conduct daily production planning meetings and organise reviews with operators.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a CNC machining/precision engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of CNC turning, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with CNC controls.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented approach.
