Production Planner – Manufacturing

A leading and well-established manufacturing company operating in the medical device sector is seeking a Production Planner to join its growing team. The role will be based at a modern cleanroom manufacturing facility in the west of Ireland.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning and scheduling of production activities to ensure efficiency, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a master production capacity plan in line with updated sales forecasts.
- Generate and adjust daily/weekly production schedules through the ERP system.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams to ensure production commitments are realistic and achievable.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to meet production and cost targets.
- Collaborate with procurement to manage material requirements and ensure supply chain continuity.
- Proactively address production issues to avoid delays and maintain workflow.
- Partner with operational teams to optimise scheduling for maximum efficiency and minimal downtime.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar production planning/scheduling role within a regulated manufacturing environment (preferably medical device or precision engineering).
- Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence across departments.
- Previous experience using SAP
