Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality emergency nursing care in a busy Emergency Department setting
• Rapidly assess, triage and prioritise patients presenting with a wide range of conditions
• Provide clinical care to adults and paediatric patients across varying levels of acuity
• Recognise and respond appropriately to deteriorating patients and medical emergencies
• Collaborate effectively with medical officers, allied health professionals and multidisciplinary teams
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines
• Monitor, assess and document patient progress accurately and comprehensively
• Support trauma, resuscitation and critical care presentations
• Provide patient and family-centred care during challenging and often stressful situations
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety and clinical governance initiatives
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with current registration or eligibility for AHPRA registration
• Minimum 2-3 years post-registration Emergency Department Nursing experience within the UK or Irish Healthcare System
• Recent experience working within a busy Emergency Department
• Experience managing acute medical, surgical and trauma presentations
• Strong clinical assessment, triage and critical thinking skills
• Experience caring for high-acuity and deteriorating patients
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Commitment to patient-centred care and evidence-based practice
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
