Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care across theatre settings
- Perform Scrub/Scout, Anaesthetic or Recovery nursing duties in accordance with clinical standards
- Prepare theatre environments, equipment and instrumentation for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons and multidisciplinary teams during operative procedures
- Monitor and assess patients throughout the perioperative journey
- Maintain infection prevention and sterile field standards
- Ensure accurate documentation and clinical record keeping
- Participate in patient safety, quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives
- Support patients and families through the surgical experience
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current registration or eligibility for AHPRA registration
- Minimum 2-3 years post-registration Theatre Nursing experience in the UK or Irish Healthcare System
- Recent experience in Scrub/Scout, Anaesthetics and/or Recovery
- Experience across a range of surgical specialties
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Commitment to patient-centred care and evidence-based practice
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced theatre environment
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
