About the Role As a Midwife, you will work within a multidisciplinary maternity team, providing safe, evidence-based care across antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal settings. You will be supporting both low-risk and high-risk pregnancies, with opportunities to be involved in education and service development.
Requirements To be considered, applicants must have:
- Minimum 5 years’ recent experience in maternity/women’s health settings
- Current AHPRA Midwifery Registration or eligibility to apply
- Experience in home birth settings
- Exposure to high-risk / complex maternity cases (e.g. critical care, obstetric complications)
- Experience in education, mentorship, or clinical training
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive midwifery care across the full continuum of pregnancy
- Support women and families through labour, birth, and postnatal recovery
- Manage and escalate care for complex or deteriorating patients
- Deliver woman-centred, culturally sensitive care
- Participate in clinical education, mentoring, and supervision of junior staff
- Maintain accurate documentation in line with clinical governance standards
