Job Description

Library & IT Support Personnel required to work as part of a team who provide a high quality, customer focused Library and IT support to a wide-ranging customer base. Customer Support Specialists are the first point of contact for all Library and IT queries and all such queries must be dealt with in a timely and appropriate manner.

Essential Skills Required

  • Previous experience of working in an IT support role
  • IT Qualification is desirable
  • Experience of working with a variety of relevant computer software applications (e.g. MS Office software, Email, Browsers, and Helpdesk systems) essential
  • Strong knowledge of personal computers and operating systems, mobile devices, and general computer software
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  •  Problem solving experience
  • Have experience in answering enquiries effectively, whether delivered in person, by phone, by email or other means; and in identifying and anticipating ongoing user requirements
  • Ability to work on own initiative and manage a number of issues simultaneously

Essential Technical/IT Skills Required

  • Previous experience of working in an IT support role
  • IT Qualification is desirable
  • Excellent IT skills with proficiency in M/S Office suite essential
