Environmental Health and Safety Coordination (22 month FTC)
Location: Ballina Co. Mayo
Our client, a global beverage company, is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing environmental, health and safety programs across the company's global operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement global environmental, health and safety policies and procedures
- Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and provide guidance on environmental, health and safety matters
- Conduct safety audits and inspections across all company operations and provide recommendations for improvement
- Develop and deliver training programs to ensure that all employees understand and follow safety protocols
- Investigate accidents and incidents and make recommendations for corrective action
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and manage environmental risks and opportunities
- Provide technical support to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability initiatives
- Track and report on environmental, health and safety metrics to internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in environmental, health and safety management, preferably in a global manufacturing or beverage company
- Knowledge of global environmental and health and safety regulations, including OSHA and ISO standards
- Experience developing and implementing safety policies and procedures
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
