Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality emergency nursing care in a busy Emergency Department setting
- Rapidly assess, triage and prioritise patients presenting with a wide range of conditions
- Provide clinical care to adults and paediatric patients across varying levels of acuity
- Recognise and respond appropriately to deteriorating patients and medical emergencies
- Collaborate effectively with medical officers, allied health professionals and multidisciplinary teams
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines
- Monitor, assess and document patient progress accurately and comprehensively
- Support trauma, resuscitation and critical care presentations
- Provide patient and family-centred care during challenging and often stressful situations
- Participate in quality improvement, patient safety and clinical governance initiatives
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current registration or eligibility for AHPRA registration
- Minimum 2-3 years post-registration Emergency Department Nursing experience within the UK or Irish Healthcare System
- Recent experience working within a busy Emergency Department
- Experience managing acute medical, surgical and trauma presentations
- Strong clinical assessment, triage and critical thinking skills
- Experience caring for high-acuity and deteriorating patients
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Commitment to patient-centred care and evidence-based practice
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
