Contract: Temporary (ASAP – 4th September 2026)
Grade: 2
University of Galway is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Marketing & Communications Unit.
 
Key Duties:
  • Act as the first point of contact for visitors, staff, and students.
  • Answer phone, email, and in-person enquiries.
  • Staff the Information Office in the Quadrangle.
  • Provide information and direct queries to appropriate departments.
  • Support branded merchandise requests.
  • Assist with general administration, purchase orders, invoices, and billing.
  • Support communications and information notices.

Requirements:

  • Previous administration or customer service experience.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook.
  • Experience handling phone enquiries.
  • Fluent Irish is desirable.
