Location: Oranmore, Co. Galway (On-site)
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
 
Overview Our client is seeking an experienced HR Administrator to provide comprehensive clerical and administrative support to a busy HR team. This is a 6-month contract role based in Oranmore, supporting key HR processes across recruitment, learning and development, and wider HR operations.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general clerical and administrative support to the HR team
  • Support recruitment and selection administration in line with policies and procedures
  • Assist with Learning & Development administration activities
  • Support budget tracking, including raising purchase orders and receipting invoices using an online system
  • Assist with audit preparation and statutory reporting requirements
  • Draft communications, reports, and responses, including managing HR inbox queries
  • Coordinate and support HR meetings, events, and initiatives
  • Assist with administration and implementation of agency frameworks
  • Monitor and track probation processes, including issuing reminders to managers
  • Support tracking and administration of employee increments
  • Administer timesheet processing for temporary staff
Requirements / Experience
  • Strong IT skills with the ability to work across multiple systems, including Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Experience using Management Information Systems (MIS)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with internal stakeholders and external providers
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven experience in a clerical or administrative role, ideally within HR
  • Experience with budget tracking, purchase orders, and invoice processing is highly desirable
  • Comfortable handling confidential information with discretion
