Post Entry Support / Placement Planning Coordinator (Grade 4) Location: Galway
Contract: Temporary, 2 months
Start Date: Immediate

Overview Our client is seeking a Post Entry Support / Placement Planning Coordinator. This role focuses on enhancing student access, retention, and successful transition into higher education and the workplace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one guidance and ongoing support to students from underrepresented backgrounds in higher education
  • Manage a caseload of students, coordinating supports and monitoring progress in collaboration with internal departments
  • Develop and maintain strong referral and advocacy networks both internally and with external agencies
  • Work closely with Placement Officers to support students in preparing for work placements, including:
    • CV development
    • Interview preparation
    • One-to-one coaching
  • Prepare Placement Planning Reports, outlining reasonable accommodations required during placement
  • Provide ongoing support to students throughout their placement period
Skills & Experience
  • Minimum Level 8 degree (or equivalent)
  • Experience working in the higher education sector
  • Proven experience delivering one-to-one support
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience collaborating with internal and external partners
  • Experience with Power BI reporting and SharePoint site development
  • Knowledge of access and widening participation policies and procedures
  • Ability to work in a target-driven environment and manage competing priorities
