Purpose of the Role:
As Health & Safety Advisor, you will support the site Safety Team and Group Safety Manager in implementing and maintaining health and safety systems across the site. You will provide administrative support for safety programmes, assist with ISO 45001 / Safe T Cert administration, and promote safe working through the company’s behavioural safety programme.
You will work closely with Operations, Training and HR to help ensure a safe working environment for staff, contractors and clients.
Location: Ennis, Nenagh, Athlone or Kinnegad.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide health and safety administrative support, including meeting minutes, accident logs, PPE matrices and chemical registers
- Support ISO 45001 and Safe T Cert requirements
- Report on safety KPIs
- Review subcontractor health & safety documentation
- Carry out audits and inspections, highlighting any issues or non‑conformances
- Deliver site safety inductions, toolbox talks and safety communications
- Assist with accident investigations and corrective actions
- Promote a strong, positive safety culture across the organisation
Ideal Candidate:
To be successful in this role, you will hold (or be studying towards) a Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety. Some relevant workplace experience is desirable.
You will be a flexible, self‑motivated team player with strong communication and organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
