We are currently recruiting for a Process Operator who will be based on site in Cork on a regular work week shift pattern.
(Monday – Thursday 8:30am to 5pm and Friday 8:30am to 4pm).
The role is requires a candidate that can work under minimum supervision.
The role includes:
· Refurb Testing of products both production fails and customer returns.
· Reduce NTF return rate and associated time and costs for the Customer and company.
· Reduce logistics and other return costs.
· Chassis Rework and repair.
· Allow forward flow manufacturing site focus on fresh production builds.
· Provide real-time feedback to process on defect trends as required.
· Co-ordinate RCCA feedback to the suppliers
· Local management of purge and quality issues
This position will report to the onsite Customer Quality Engineering advisor.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Interface with Technical Teams onsite in Cork.
  • Managing the Refurb Testing of company products.
  • Where available replicate vendor testing within the lab on the Customer site Rework where cosmetic non solder failures
  • Support Rework of all chassis which do not have final vendor testing. (all production and field fallout)
  • Input to the Sourcing of material / maintenance of Kanbans of material used for repair (Purchased by Customer)
  • Collect Billing Data for Invoicing of the Customer for any Rework Refurb Testing Services
  • Collect data and provide failure trends for all products as required.
  • Provide support for screening potential issues and local coordination of purges i.e. avoiding return to Asia for issues that can be managed locally
  • Interface between company and onsite technician on product quality issues
  • Support Nebula RLO, replicating vendor test as required.
  • Communicates progress and results to senior management and customer.
  • Ensures accurate and timely communication to management on critical technical and business issues.

All required training and tools will be provided onsite.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality improvement practices and techniques
  • Excellent negotiation and problem resolution skills.
  • Good presentation, database management and computer skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 3 years’ experience in a Technical assembly role.
  • Leaving cert minimum standard required.
  • Technical qualification an advantage but not essential.
  • Experience in multinational, manufacturing environment is an advantage.
  • Excellent motivational / interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer management skills.
  • Knowledge of customer and regulatory requirements in line with business needs.
