Fieid Service Engineer
Location: Galway / Midlands

About the Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering high-impact IT solutions to our clients. You’ll provide expert technical support across multiple sites and platforms, lead maintenance and managed service days, and implement IT projects that make a real difference.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll work both remotely and onsite, responding to escalations and ensuring our clients’ systems run smoothly and securely.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality technical support across diverse technologies and client environments.
- Resolve technical issues both remotely and onsite.
- Conduct recurring maintenance checks and manage client service days.
- Lead setup and deployment activities for small to medium-scale IT projects.
- Ensure timely and standard-compliant changes and enhancements.
- Maintain clear communication with management and clients.
- Meet KPIs for service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Build strong relationships with vendors, customers, and service providers.
- Develop and maintain support documentation to reduce downtime.
- Research and test new technologies for future service offerings.
- Escalate issues appropriately and proactively.
Education & Development
- Ongoing training and certification support.
- Team-based learning and development programs.
- Induction and mentoring for new staff, including work placements.
What You’ll Bring
- A relevant third-level degree or 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Full clean driver’s license.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Microsoft 365: Azure, Intune, SharePoint, Teams, Security & Compliance
- Virtualisation: Hyper-V, VMware
- Disaster Recovery: Datto BCDR, Azure Site Recovery
- Windows Server: 2008–2022, AD, Group Policy, DHCP/DNS, RDS, SQL Server
- Networking: VLANs, managed switches, wireless access points, routers
- Security: Firewalls (SonicWall, Fortinet, Cisco), spam/web filtering, endpoint protection
- Backup Solutions: ArcServe, Veeam, Symantec, CommVault, Azure Backup
