A leading international education provider in Galway is currently seeking an experienced and proactive Accommodation Manager to oversee the provision and management of student accommodation. This is a key role within a multicultural and inclusive environment, offering an exciting opportunity to support a diverse student cohort, primarily from overseas.
Role Overview The Accommodation Manager will be responsible for sourcing, allocating, and managing various accommodation options, including residential units, shared flats, host families, B&Bs, and hotels. The successful candidate will ensure that all accommodation services meet required standards, legal obligations, and company policies while maintaining a high-quality experience for students and visiting stakeholders.
Key duties include:
- Planning and securing accommodation supply throughout the year, with a focus on peak demand periods.
- Conducting initial and regular inspections to ensure accommodation standards and regulatory compliance.
- Maintaining up-to-date records and providing regular status updates to management and internal teams.
- Liaising with landlords, host families, and external accommodation providers to ensure relationships are well-managed and communication is clear.
- Matching students with the most suitable accommodation based on preferences and availability.
- Managing accommodation bookings for visiting partners and guests.
- Ensuring timely and accurate payment processing for host families and other accommodation suppliers.
- Monitoring quality assurance and reporting any issues with suggested improvements.
- Meeting students on arrival and departure, including being available on-call as scheduled.
- Supporting accommodation enquiries, administrative processes, marketing efforts, and any other related duties as required on- and off-site.
Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of organisational ability, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills. Experience in a similar role is highly desirable, particularly within an educational or hospitality environment.
