Dynamic IT company in Galway have a vacancy for a Finance Manager.
You will work closely with the cross-functional teams to drive the financial performance and continuous improvement of the business.
As Finance Manager your role will be broad in scope, covering Financial Accounting, but with exposure to the wider business and various functions across the site.
You will report to the Head of Finance and Operations.
Key Deliverables:
- Working with the Head of Finance and Operations, ensure the integrity of financial processes and financial and management reporting for the function.
- Accurate, timely preparation and submission of monthly and year end financial and management accounts including reporting packs for Senior Management
- Preparation and Analysis of supporting information to assist Senior Management in understanding business performance and decision making.
- Day to day management of the finance team and function including debtors and creditors ledger, accounts payable, receivable and payroll.
- Assisting the Head of Finance & Operations in the consolidation, analysis and presentation of strategic plans, budgets, forecasts and outlooks for the company.
- Pro-active approach to systems and process development to reflect changing and evolving business needs.
- Maintenance of the balance sheet & production of balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with best practice standards & finance and regulatory guidelines.
- Carry out product margin analysis as required.
- Carry out cost revenue analysis and cost reduction projects as required.
- Company VAT returns.
- Liaise with external Auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
- Manage finance and procurement team
Key Requirements:
- Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA/ACCA)
- 2-3 years post qualification experience. SME Experience desirable
- Can interpret complex financial and commercial issues and communicate proposals to stakeholders
- A self-starter, with a high degree of analytical rigour with the ability to sift through detail and cut to the heart of complex commercial and financial matters
- A strong team player who can challenge and influence colleagues at all levels
- Track record of experience in both financial and management accounting
- Excellent Excel / PowerPoint skills
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, including strong report writing skills
- Excellent people management skills
