What is the Role:
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be primarily responsible for reliable service delivery, fostering responsiveness, driving measurable results, and playing an key role in organisational strategy and stakeholder management.  Working alongside the CEO and Leadership Team (LT), you will execute the company vision, put procedures and resources in place to optimise efficiencies, deliver 100% customer satisfaction and co-ordinate cross-departmental projects.

The role is based in our head office in Galway City.

What will the role involve?

Operations Management
  

  • Working closely with the Leadership Team to ensure all risks are monitored and managed effectively
  • Managing the facilities within a multi-site organisation (Galway, Sligo, Dublin, Limerick, Mullingar) to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Working with CFO to develop and execute a comprehensive financial strategy for the organisation and assist in the preparation and management of budgets, forecasts and financial analysis for CEO and MD at monthly board review.
  • Driving a culture of Quality within the organisation, taking a leadership role in maintaining ICE Groups’  ISO 90001 accredited Business Management System to ensure all operational standards and service delivery is being adhered to.

 

Developing and Implementing Strategy
  

  • Provide leadership, management and vision to ensure appropriate: operational controls, supplier and client contract management, product and service pricing, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems are in place to effectively grow the organisation, increase operating efficiency and maintain financial strength.
  • Taking a hands on approach to support key continuous improvement and lean projects, supporting automation opportunities to increase operational efficiencies. 
  • Advise on market development and opportunities for innovation, identifying any funding support available to support growth initiatives.
  • Implement tangible performance measures to track and drive key operational outcomes, regularly reviewing metrics and implementing data-driven strategies for improvements.

 
Stakeholder Management and Leadership
  

  • Working closely with CEO, and Leadership Team to develop, support and enable company-wide strategies and solutions
  • Engage and support multiple Business Units, and encourage or identify cross functional projects opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing key industry stakeholders – Skillnet, Education and Training Boards, Chamber of Commerce, etc.
  • Experience of implementing key environmental,  sustainability and social initiatives, within a ESG framework.

 
What is really important to do this job?
  

  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001acreditation proceses.
  • Proven experience in operational management, within SME sector, ideally within a service-based company
  • Financial expertise, budgeting and forecasting, with a demonstrated ability to analyse financial data to drive profitability within the organisation
  • Experience of managing staff and business sites across multiple locations
  • Action oriented with an execution mindset.  Any job is your job if it helps the team succeed.
  • Technical and Digital Savviness to drive improvements forward using a variety of technological solutions.
  • Bachelors Degree in Business / Commerce, Engineering, Finance or other relevant area
