We are recruiting a Project Manager for our client in Public Sector Further Education and Training, leading a project to develop micro qualifications in Sustainable Agriculture and Animal Husbandry.
This role offers the chance to manage an important initiative under the Skills to Advance programme.
Candidate Profile
- Strong Project Management experience, with expereince of delivering successful projects.
- Ability to work independently and in teams, with a flexible and proactive approach.
- Experience in education or training is an advantage but not required.
- Formal Project Management qualification or relevant experience.
What you’ll be Responsible for?
- Lead the planning, development, and management of a project focused on creating course content for sustainable agriculture and animal husbandry practices.
- Ensure effective allocation of financial, human, and material resources, keeping the project on track and within budget.
- Manage the selection of qualified staff and the recruitment of course participants, in partnership with industry employers.
- Develop plans to extend the project beyond the pilot phase, targeting additional sectors and ensuring cost-effectiveness for National rollout.
- Work with key partners, lead working groups, and ensure clear communication throughout the project.
- Track project performance, manage risks, and prepare monthly reports for stakeholders and relevant bodies.
Contract Details:
Location: On-site – Co. Mayo (location flexible)
Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week)
Contract: 6-month contract, with potential for extension
