The Front of House Receptionist/Administrator will provide administrative support and excellent customer service within a training centre in the Further Education and Training sector in Sligo. This position is responsible for managing the reception area, handling inquiries, and performing various administrative tasks related to students, files,  and other centre operations. 
Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Greet students, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner. 
  • Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and handle inquiries promptly and accurately. 
  • Direct students to appropriate resources, classrooms, or staff members as needed. 
  • Manage student records, including registration forms, attendance records, and assessment results. 
  • Organise and maintain student files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data protection regulations. 
  • Coordinate room bookings and scheduling for training sessions, workshops, and other events. 
  • Ensure training rooms are set up with necessary materials and equipment prior to scheduled activities. 
  • Monitor and replenish office and training supplies as needed. 
  • Liaise with instructors, trainers, and administrative staff to support the smooth delivery of training programs. 
  • Communicate important information to students regarding schedule changes, deadlines, and center policies. 

Skills Profile Required  

  • Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in an educational or training setting. 
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook. 
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and handling administrative tasks. 
  • Knowledge of data protection regulations and confidentiality requirements. 
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 

 
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday 9.000am – 5.00pm.
