Office Administrator – Youthreach – Part-Time (5 mornings / week), 6 months contract


Youthreach is an Irish education and training program designed to support young people aged 15 to 20 who have left formal education early or face barriers to learning. Established by the Department of Education and Skills, Youthreach aims to provide a second chance for these individuals to acquire essential skills, qualifications, and personal development opportunities. The program operates through a network of dedicated centres across Ireland, offering a supportive and inclusive environment.


Position Overview:


Our Client is seeking a dynamic and organised Office Administrator to join the Youthreach team in Ballina. As the Office Administrator, you will be a vital part of their program, providing crucial administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the centre. This role is instrumental in maintaining an efficient and learner-focused environment.


Responsibilities:


  1. Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to the Youthreach centre, including managing schedules, maintaining records, and handling correspondence.
  2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of learners' progress, attendance, and program participation.
  3. Act as a central point of contact for inquiries, both internal and external, ensuring prompt and professional responses.
  4. Manage office supplies, equipment, and resources to ensure availability for both staff and learners.
  5. Assist in organising events, workshops, and activities that enhance the learning experience for participants.
  6. Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation as needed to support program evaluation and reporting requirements.
  7. Collaborate with the guidance and mentorship team to assist participants in exploring further education, training, or employment opportunities.


Qualifications:


  • Proven experience in office administration or related roles
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively
