ICE Group are recruiting a Financial Accountant to join our dedicated partner’s team at their state of the art facility in Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim. This is a Permanent position and the core responsibilities of the role are Financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, Audit and compliance and day to day financial operations.After a successful training period, there will be Work from home flexibility with the role also
Role and Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with local and international accounting standards.
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Analyse financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting requirements.
- Coordinate and support external audits, liaising with auditors to address queries and findings.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the finance department.
- Monitor and control costs to optimise financial performance.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Qualified Accountant with a recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, etc.).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a financial accounting role in a manufacturing setting preferably.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
